Yellow Helmets

This project deals with working along the guidelines and norms of the International Academy of the Science/Studies for Peace- Aspeace.

The project aims to favour the promotion of a civil environment of peaceful and fraternal co existence by means of organisation. It offers adequate training and information in the sector of peace and non violence.

The project is destined towards children between the ages of 8 and 15 with the objective of giving them “Yellow Helmets”. Or moreover for them to play the role custodians of peace and workers for the prevention of conflict in various social settings, where ever one may find himself.

The forecasted activities are articulated into three phases of work: short, medium and long term.

The first meeting is/was due on Friday 24th of February 2006 with a ceremony for the
inauguration and presentation of the project, under the patronage of Unicef.

The investiture of the Yellow Helmets is /was due on the 25th of May.
