Small buildings spaces for children at play
This is a sort of contest of creativity put together by the Esplora Association. It is under the patronage of Rome City Council (Under the council for Political Promotion for Infancy and the Family).
The activities first started in November 2005 and concluded with the presentation of two projects. The objectives were to induce a change of thinking and culture in adults, making them more aware that the open area in and around buildings and apartments should be given back to children for play purposes, and not reduced to just parking lots, as is often the case.
The pupils worked with great interest producing original work both from a graphic point of view and from the layer of content. The work proposed by Class III was in the top three of section two with the slogan “Operation Courtyard”.
In December, in the Protomoteca Room, of the Campidoglio Palace, the ceremony took place for the awards.
Currently the works are exhibited at the Explora Museum, Via Flaminia 82.
